He arrived elsewhere just as he lived here: like a king… but a naked king,
unpretentious, with humor and self-deprecation.
 
He took nothing precious with him, except what truly mattered to him.
A piece of bark from the oldest tree in Nevada, a red pebble from Red Rock Canyon, memories of endless happy hours, loves, faces, bursts of life.
A little faith too, a discreet presence, like a figurine of Christ slipped into a pocket.
And then that old car… pink.
Chosen for the sake of quirkiness, of a smile, of “I don’t care.”
 
Because, even when things got serious, he preferred to laugh.
 
What remains of him is not death.
It is a collection of joys.
